Kimberly Phillips joins the “Influential Women of Law“ Class of 2021

The third class of honorees has been named for the “Influential Women of Law” and Kimberly Phillips is among them. Together, Virginia Lawyers Weekly and four statewide bar groups determined which attorneys and judges fit the criteria to earn recognition. This award honors those that work with excellence on behalf of the justice system and their clients. Candidates are chosen that show a commitment to their communities and their service to the profession.

It is no surprise that Founding Partner, Kimberly Phillips, was added to the prestigious Class of 2021. She has been an active member of the legal community since receiving her Juris Doctor in 2005 from Regent University. Over that time Kim has served as a Guardian Ad Litem, substitute judge, the Chesapeake Bar Association President, and more. She has a heart for helping children and supporting organizations that assist families like CHKD and Triple R Ranch. One of her greatest accomplishments was dedicating her time to the annual Mock Trial program. The program is a partnership between the Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association and Norfolk Public Schools with the assistance of the courthouse and sheriff’s office. Mock Trial is meant to give young students positive exposure to the legal system in a fun and educational environment. Mrs. Phillips served as the head of the executive board until 2019. When the program was halted in 2020 due to COVID, Kim took the initiative to provide a video presentation of the trial in action because she did not want the students to miss out.

We are so proud of Kim and thankful for her dedication, energy, and leadership. Anybody that has worked with her knows she has a fighting spirit. She is a champion for her clients, people in need, and causes she cares about. Kim is a dedicated, energetic, and tenacious leader and for those reasons, we are proud to see her join the Influential Women of Law Class of 2021
