The Women in Business Achievement Awards are recognition awards given by Virginia Media. In 2021 this recognition was given to Kimberly Phillips, our co-founder and an active partner of Phillips & Peters.  The awards “are designed to celebrate women who have been successful in their business and careers, have made a significant impact on the business community and local economy, and have served as mentors and examples to others.” This recognition amplifies the work of local female business leaders and hopefully inspires the next generation to lead.

Throughout her distinguished career, Kimberly Phillips has started a thriving family law firm and supported the local community in several ways. Over the years she has volunteered her time and talents to many organizations that are close to her heart.  Kim isn’t just an advocate for women in the workplace either. She is active in cultivating an environment where women professionals thrive. Phillips & Peters is currently an all-female law firm. With female attorneys, paralegals, and staff Kim is providing opportunities for women to work in a healthy, safe, and empowering environment.
