Phillips Peters Competes for CoVA’s “Readers’ Choice Best Of” Contest
The family law team at Phillips & Peters is throwing their hat in the ring for the “Best of Readers’ Choice Awards.” This annual recognition with Coastal Virginia Magazine puts the deciding power in the hands of their readers. The contest includes a diverse lineup of business categories including Arts & Entertainment, Education, Shopping, and more. Phillips & Peters falls into the Professional Services category for “Best Law Firm.”
Without further grouping, the law firm category holds 24 competing law firms with a variety of service areas. Everything from personal injury, professional licensing, corporate, nonprofit, etc. can be found. The local recognition also allows for an assortment of firm sizes to compete against each other. Big box firms, international agencies, family-owned practices, and small to medium-sized groups contend alongside each other.
Phillips & Peters is a small family law firm that has been serving the community of Hampton Roads since 2010. During the uncertainty of 2020, the firm earned numerous accolades for its service. Phillips & Peters won the Small Business of Norfolk award from the Hampton Roads Chamber. Founding Partner, Kimberly Phillips, won the Leadership Award at the same ceremony. Founding Partner, Corrynn Peters was inducted into the Influential Women of Law Class of 2020 and was declared a Women in Business Honoree by Virginia Media.
The firm is always honored to receive recognition for its service, but the true measure of success is found in satisfied clients. The heart of Phillips & Peters is to help families move forward from the difficult situations they encounter when dealing with legal systems. Winning the Reader’s Choice Award with Coastal Virginia Magazine would give the firm greater exposure to local individuals in need.
The voting phase will begin on February 10, 2021, and runs through March 15, 2021. Each voter has one vote per category for the duration of the contest. Some Phillips & Peters favorites like Pownd Cakes by Jen (Best Bakery), The Stockpot Norfolk (Best Lunch), and Townebank (Best Local Bank) are also in the running. The public can vote in as many or as few categories as they would like. The contest winners will be the ones that receive the most votes overall.

Phillips & Peters wishes the best of luck to all the businesses nominated! Coastal Virginia wouldn’t be as vibrant without the business community.
