Thanksgiving at Phillips Peters

Thanksgiving at Phillips & Peters

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

At Phillips & Peters, we are so grateful to celebrate a holiday that allows us to pause to reflect and approach our lives with gratitude. As a team that serves in the area of family law, we know how complicated and emotionally taxing our business can be. Maintaining a healthy work environment requires everyone’s commitment to creating a positive office culture. When asked what she is thankful for Ashley Keil in our office wrote:

“I am incredibly thankful for my fantastic work crew!  Even on our craziest days, we always find time for a laugh.  We are truly a big family and although I’ve worked at other firms, I’ve never felt more at home than with the people I work with here. Whether it’s the Thanksgiving Gobblerfest, our Christmas party or any of our birthdays, we meet up and celebrate, even if only for a few minutes. I love that and will always be thankful for such great bosses and the best co-workers I could’ve ever hoped to have.”

Others in our office shared similar sentiments about our work family as well as their own families. Our Office Manager Nancy Baker reflected:

“I am thankful, as always, for my family and the love and support we give each other throughout the year, not just during the Holidays.  My family is very large as it encompasses my personal family, work family and a great network of friends. I am truly blessed.”

The office was also blessed this season with our newest attorney, Jennifer Worden. She expressed, “I am thankful for family, friends, and a wonderful group of colleagues with whom to share my days” as well as “warm summers, colorful falls, fires in winter, and spring flowers.” Jen reminds us that in every season there is something to be thankful for even the hard seasons. Founding partner Corrynn Peters gracefully lives this out as she shares:

“My maternal grandparents passed away this month.  They were both in their 90s and, having celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in September, they passed away within 5 days of each other. They were such a beautiful example of what marriage can be and they loved each other until the end.  I am so grateful for the wonderous examples of love I found in them and my parents. This year, I am most thankful for my husband and beautiful children.  I am blessed to have such a supportive, loving, patient and gracious family.”

And as always we all thankful for our clients that entrust their matters to our care.

We wish all our friends, family, and colleagues a joyous Thanksgiving holiday!
