It was the personality of Lorak that drew in founding partner, Kimberly Phillips. She celebrated Phillips & Peters tenth year in business with custom pieces from Lorak for herself and her business partner, Corrynn Peters.  

Support Small Business at Selden Market & Vibe Creative District

Throughout December, you will find the creative hubs of Norfolk (Selden Market) and Virginia Beach (Vibe Creative District) curating markets with some of the best small businesses in town. While Downtown Norfolk and the Oceanfront continue to build attractions and experiences that welcome tourists, these smaller territories maintain the heart of the 757. The mouth-watering desserts at Pownd Cakes by Jen are a favorite of the Phillips & Peters team. One of Jen’s cakes makes an appearance at every holiday celebration in our office. As her business has grown over the years so have the sizes and flavors of her infamous “pownd cakes”. Currently there are 37 flavors and three sizes of cakes to choose from ranging from $5 to $30. We recommend the classic cinnamon which has never disappointed our staff, friends, family, or business partners.

Relax at Skin Theory by Erin

For those that need a restful experience after this year, take a trip to Skin Theory by Erin. Master Esthetician, Erin Nichols, is offering gift cards that can be purchased at $50 increments. The perfect gift for a first-time guest would be a 30-minute facial that is equal parts relaxing and educational. Facials include cleansing, treating a specific skin concern, and moisturizing. Erin also offers virtual holiday skin consultations for those that are more comfortable staying in. She’ll discuss how your skin changes from the warmer season to the colder months and what treatments are available to brighten and lift skin.  

Craft an Experience at Board & Brush Creative Studio

All you need to find the perfect gift at Board & Brush is creativity and personality. This DIY wood sign workshop has hundreds of designs to choose from and personalize. Melinda and Scott make it as easy as possible to create something unique for your loved ones or bring them in for a hands-on experience. The Board & Brush studio is currently providing a COVID safe environment to create together while sipping on a glass of wine. Our team thought this sounded like a perfect way to celebrate the holidays and booked a private studio session together for our Christmas party this year.
